New Girl: Thanksgiving

"Parents" Season 2, Episode 8

So this is tied with season 3 for my favorite New Girl Thanksgiving episode. In this episode, Jess's parents are coming to town for the holiday. The problem is they are divorced and hate each other so they plan on celebrating separate Thanksgivings. Jess is "accidentally" invites them over at the same time, which Cece quickly realizes is part of Jess's "parent trap". Apparently for years Jess has been trying to get her parents back together, but to no avail. Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner star as Jess's parents in this hilarious holiday episode. I think most families have some tension that pops up around the holidays and episodes like this always really capture it for me. It's funny, it's holiday centered, what more could you want! I definitely recommend checking this episode out if you have some pre-turkey TV time.
