New Girl: Thanksgiving

"Thanksgiving" Season 1, Episode 6

If there's one thing New Girl does well, it's thanksgiving episodes. While this isn't my favorite, it's still great. While rehearsing for their thanksgiving play, Jess's coworker Paul mentions that his grandmother just passed away and he'll be spending thanksgiving alone. Jess decides to invite him to the apartment for dinner. She and Schmidt try to throw together a last minute thanksgiving meal. Paul and Winston hit it off, Cece and Schmidt heat things up in the kitchen, but Nick is as usual, apathetic. This episode is cute, it's fun to watch Jess and Paul's awkward flirting and Cece pissing Schmidt off in the kitchen is hilarious. This is a really fun holiday episode and you don't really need to have been watching the show to understand it. I mean it probably helps but it isn't totally necessary. I definitely recommend checking it out if you have some time over the holiday.
