“Blair Waldorf Must Pie!” Season 1, Episode 9

In the first Gossip Girl thanksgiving episode we get to experience two thanksgivings, the current one and the one from the year prior. In the past thanksgiving we see a drunken Serena being taken care of by Blair and Nate. In the present, we see Blair and Serena fighting and Serena and her family being banned from Blair’s family Thanksgiving. Dan invites the Van Der Woodsens to his family Thanksgiving, unaware of the romantic history between his father and Serena’s mother. The family thanksgiving turns tense when the big secrets come out. So I’m not going to pretend that this episode is for everyone, while it is definitely a thanksgiving filled episode, it is also filled with teen melodrama. This show was huge when I was in high school so it works for me. The show definitely does thanksgiving episodes well, full of drama and pie. If you’ve watched the show, or like late 00’s teen dramas, I’d recommend putting this episode on your thanksgiving watch list.
