Modern Family: Thanksgiving

“Three Turkeys” Season 6, Episode 8

I always really enjoy Modern Family’s holiday episodes. Still, I especially love their thanksgiving episodes because, while perhaps a little over the top, they always seem to capture that franticness that comes along with spending time with family. In this episode, Phil convinces Claire to let him handle thanksgiving dinner. That includes cooking and setting up the home with Luke. While Claire lets him take charge, she cooks a backup turkey in the garage just in case Phil messes up. When the fuse box blows, they go to Jay and Gloria’s for their meal. This is awkward because Gloria and Jay lied about being in Mexico to spend the holiday alone. Meanwhile, Cam and Mitch are struggling to make Lily understand the word “no.” Mitch is upset because Lily thinks he’s the mean parent because he frequently lays down the law while Cam lets her get away with things. This episode is funny and definitely revolves around the holiday. I highly recommend checking this episode out to get into the turkey day spirit.
