“The One With Chandler In A Box” Season 4, Episode 8

So, to enjoy this episode I think you’ll have to have seen the few preceding episodes, because the reason that Chandler is in a box relates back to an event in earlier episodes. I mean, you can still appreciate the thanksgiving atmosphere, but to understand the main plot of the episode. So why is Chandler in the box? Joey’s girlfriend cheated on him… with Chandler. And in order for Joey to forgive him, Chandler must stay in the box for hours and think about what he had done. Meanwhile, no one is helping Monica with thanksgiving dinner, and while she’s prepping she gets a piece of ice in her eye. She needs an emergent trip to the eye doctor… who happens to be Richard, her ex-boyfriend. This episode takes place on thanksgiving and the dinner is definitely a part of the episode, there’s some important long-running plot events in this episode as well so the focus isn’t completely on the holiday. I still think it’s a nice one to watch to get ready for turkey day.
