The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018): Halloween

So I reviewed the original Strangers film and my opinion is its not bad, not great. It's okay but because it taps into such a common fear it has a widespread appeal for horror fans and the general public alike. When this came out I was skeptical and kind of annoyed as I didn't see the need for this film. But after watching it, I think I may like it as much as the original? I think the protagonists actually make some very realistic choices and the acting from them is impressive. The part that really brings the film down for me is the cartoonish abilities of the killers. But aside from that, I think this film is a fun watch for Halloween. It's scary enough and does satirize some aspects of horror that can be funny for horror fans. Check this one out if you've exhausted the horror classics and you want something new.
