The Goldbergs: Halloween

“Who Are You Going to Telephone?” Season 1, Episode 6

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. It’s so underrated, and is amazingly funny. As the child of two Philly natives, and a frequenter of the city, the show really hits close to home for me. In the show’s first halloween episode, Adam breaks his tradition of going trick or treating with Pop’s in order to go out with a cool friend. Pop’s is hurt by this as they have matching costumes. Meanwhile, Erica and Barry go to a Halloween Party, where Barry hopes to impress a cool girl in school. When Beverly hears that the girl doesn’t like him and he’s going to embarrass himself, she tries to disguise herself and attend the party to prevent him from being humiliated. This episode is really funny, as most episodes are, but it is really great for the season. It has awesome Halloween costumes, decorations, parties and trick or treating. I think this show is a must-see when it comes to getting into the spirit for spooky time.
