Gremlins (1984): Christmas

I have a deep never-ending love for Gizmo. This movie follows a young man who gets a mysterious pet from his father for Christmas. His Mogwai, who he calls Gizmo, comes with a strict set of rules: don't expose them to sunlight, don't get them wet, and don't feed them after midnight. Billy and Gizmo bond quite quickly, but when he accidentally gets wet 5 more, sinister, Mogwai appear, including Spike, the ring leader of the crew. They bully Gizmo and soon trick Billy into feeding them after midnight. This is when the chaos truly begins. Their antics sends the town into a Christmas frenzy as they smoke, drink, and murder. This movie is campy, funny, and filled to the brim with 80's Christmas aesthetic. I definitely recommend checking this out for the holiday if you haven't already. It will make you want a Gizmo for Christmas... just don't get him wet.
