Elf (2003): Christmas

So personally I cannot believe this movie is 14 years old because I vividly remember when it came out. I don't think anyone really knew how classic this movie would become when it was released, but it really has become a staple holiday film. This movie follows, Buddy the elf, a human raised as an elf at the North Pole. When he discovers he was adopted he goes on a quest to find his real father. His adventure takes him to Manhattan where we get a delightful fish-out-of-water story. This movie is packed with Christmas imagery and magic, while also having romance and a serious undertone of family tension and acceptance. Many of the films quotable lines have become famous and I doubt there are many people who can sit through this without getting into the Christmas spirit. This is definitely an annual must-watch and I would recommend it for anyone and everyone.
