The Kissing Booth (2018): Back to School

This movie is really stupid and bad and I just want to preface this review with that statement. For some reason, everyone loves this movie even though it's stupid and I think it's because it falls into that stupid fanfic-y rom-com category that makes it a guilty pleasure. This movie follows Elle and her best friend Lee. They set up a kissing booth to raise money at the school carnival. Elle has a crush on Lee's brother, Noah, but Lee establishes a rule that Elle cannot date him because they are best friends and best friends have rules for each other apparently. Elle and Noah begin sneaking around and eventually get caught and must deal with the fall out with Lee. Most of this film is set at their high school and at the school kissing booth. It will make you dream of a high school experience that no one has ever had in real life. This movie is great for back to school because its dumb and easy to watch. If you're into dumb teen movies then watch this to get yourself in a back to school mood. If not, you can skip this one for sure.
