Accepted (2006): Back to School
August 26, 2017
Okay, so if we're rating this movie for being relevant for back to school, if we're rating it for being good that's a whole different ball park. I mean, I think it's better than some movies I've seen for sure. It's got it's funny moments, it's premise, while unbelievable is definitely original, and I like the cast. So if this is bad, it's not offensively bad to me. Although this was kind of the comedy coming out throughout my teen years so maybe the style is just what I'm used to. This movie follows a kid who wasn't accepted into any colleges, so he makes his own. He literally buys an abandoned building and with the help of some other unaccepted friends fixes it up and makes a fake college. He wants his parents to be proud of him and to believe that he is going to school. However, other rejected students found their website and applied and were accepted. So now there's almost 300 students on their "campus". Can they keep the charade up? No, obviously not. But still, despite its predictability, it's a decently fun watch; definitely a fun one for a back to college marathon.
