Remember the Titans (2000): Fall
September 15, 2017
What a good fucking movie. This movie makes me cry every time I watch it, without fail. I hate most sports and sports movies, but sweet fuck is this good. This movie is about a newly integrated high school football team and them learning to truly be a team that supports each other, regardless of race. This movie is based on the real life story of Herman Boone, who is played wonderfully by Denzel Washington. It's moving and hopeful and I think especially considering the state of race relations in the US right now, it's a story that we can watch and hope things will get better. This movie is set during back to school, but the reason I am putting it in the fall category is because football. One of my favorite autumn memories was of putting on my favorite hoodie and going to high school football games with my friends. This may have a scenic shot here and there but it's mainly autumn evoking because it's football season.
