“Sadie, Sadie” Season 2, Episode 1

In the season 2 opener, Lorelai is still mulling over whether or not she wants to marry Max. The whole town is waiting to see how Luke will react when he finds out that Lorelai may be getting engaged. Meanwhile, Lane is getting ready to go to Korea for the summer. The problem is, her parents won’t tell her when she is returning so she begins to panic, thinking she may be there forever. The whole episode is covered in “a thousand yellow daisies” which really sets the atmosphere for summer. Summer is not a time of year frequently seen in Stars Hollow, but boy is it pretty when it is. However, aside from the daisies and the occasional mention of summer, there isn’t much else that celebrates the season in the episode.
