Gilmore Girls: Summer
July 13, 2017
I'm just going to preface this by saying if you don't watch the show, don't watch this episode. This is a plot heavy season premiere and if you come in without knowing what's going on you're not going to enjoy it. It's not summery enough to justify watching just for the seasonal feel. This episode is the start to my all-time favorite season, and it is set at the beginning of the summer. Rory is on summer break, the Dragonfly Inn is opening, and Richard and Emily are separated. It's also the start of Lorelei and Luke. This episode has some nice summery/springy imagery, which is rare for this show. Emily and Rory are going on a European vacation for the summer which will make you yearn for vacations you've never been on (or maybe you have and in that case, I hate you). If you're a fan of the Gilmores definitely give this one a watch and bask in its summery goodness.
