Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008): Summer
July 9, 2018
So, I know this movie is old, but I only saw the entire thing for the first time recently, up until this year I had only seen bits and pieces. It's surprisingly good? I don't know why I didn't think it was going to be that good, but I had low expectations. It's a surprisingly heartwarming and original for a romantic comedy. Peter and his celebrity girlfriend, Sarah, end their long term relationship and Peter goes to Hawaii to try to get over her. Unfortunately Sarah is there with her new boyfriend, a famous rock star, making his healing process much harder. The film is set at a Hawaiian resort and has some absolutely breathtaking shots of the beach and scenery. The whole film has a tropical feel and will make you want to break out your swimsuit and sip a Pina colada by the ocean. I definitely recommend checking this out, not only to get in the mood for summer, but also for an enjoyable rom-com.
