Eurotrip (2004): Summer
July 10, 2018
Scotty doesn't know... So I feel like this film is a classic for anyone who was a teenager in the 00's. I just remember everyone in my school quoting this movie. This film follows a group of four friends who spend their summer between high school and college traveling through Europe. Scotty is on a mission to meet his German pen pal and tell her he loves her. However, getting from point A to point B is a lot more complicated than he plans for it to be. This movie is full of pretty predictable early 00's sex comedy humor, along the lines of the American Pie movies, however, I still kind of enjoy it? The main thing this movie has going for it is the fact that the actors are all decent. They're funny and do the most they can with a mediocre script. I don't think this film is for everyone, as it is especially raunchy and problematic at times, but I think if you were a teenager when this film came out, you'll really enjoy it to get in the mood for summer. It's full of beautiful shots of various European countries and has a fun, summer vacation feel.
