Dirty Dancing (1987): Summer

I’ve had the time of my life… and I owe it all to this movie. I’m kidding, I’m not a wild fan of this movie. I mean it’s good, but it’s not that great (don’t tell my fiancé, he loves this movie). Dirty Dancing follows Baby as she goes on vacation with her family at a swanky resort in the Catskills. She develops a crush on the dance instructor at the resort and following some issues with his dance partner, Baby agrees to learn to dance so he can compete in a competition. It’s a pretty basic teen summer romance movie, but it’s got good dancing and good swayze and is definitely worth a watch if you’ve never seen it before. It’s set in the summer at a vacation resort so it definitely has a lovely 80’s summertime vibe, which is in fact, my preferred summertime vibe.
