The Simpsons: St Patrick's Day
March 15, 2018
"Sex, Pies, Idiot Scrapes" Season 20, Episode 1
This is the only other St. Patrick's Day episode of the Simpsons and it's definitely not as good as the first, but it's alright. I think it's an okay episode overall, especially considering how much the later season have devolved in quality, but aside from the opening St Patrick's Day parade and brawl, there's nothing else to do with the holiday. And that's what we're about here at Watch the Holidays. Not overall quality, but holiday quality. This episode begins with the St. Patrick's Day parade and a subsequent brawl that lands Homer in jail. He gets high bail due to his many previous arrests and needs to get paid out by a bail bondsman. When he learns what a bounty hunter is, he decides to take a swing at the job, finding an unlikely partner in Ned Flanders. However, their team begins to fall apart and tough decisions must be made. The episode is fun enough and the opening scene is very Irish so I definitely think it's worth watching to get you in the mood to wear some green and drink some beer.
