“Charlie Catches a Leprechaun” Season 11, Episode 8
The gang is struggling to improve their business at the pub on St. Patrick’s Day. To increase numbers, Dennis creates the Paddy’s Wagon, a mobile bar that picks up patrons and serves them alcohol on the go. However, the gang’s short attention span leaves Dennis frustrated because they aren’t committed to the idea. Dee dresses up as a leprechaun to be the pub’s mascot, undeterred by Dennis’s discouragement. The customers are only interested in getting a ride to other destinations, and frustrated, Dennis begins kidnapping them and forcing them to go along with his idea.
Meanwhile, Mac and Charlie stay at the bar catering to the traditional St. Patrick’s Day crowd. However, Mac becomes overwhelmed by himself because Charlie is focused primarily on catching a leprechaun. Charlie mistakenly catches a little person who works as a pickpocket and thief, and since Charlie is very stupid, he begins tormenting the man, hoping he’ll admit to being a leprechaun and lead him to a pot of gold.
This episode is decked out in St. Patrick’s Day vibes, from the leprechaun to the alcohol to the debauchery. It’s definitely a must-watch episode if you’re looking to get in the spirit of the holiday. There’s green everywhere and lots of beer, and you don’t need to be familiar with the show to know what’s going on.
