This episode takes place during spring break, and follows Lois and Meg's road trip. Meg is upset because she's being forced to go to a spa with her mom instead of going down to spring break with her classmates. So, Lois decides to change up their girls weekend and take them to have some unconventional mother-daughter bonding. However, once they arrive at spring break, Lois is popular, while Meg continues to be miserable, feeling embarrassed by Lois' wild antics. The episode also involves Peter finding a new job in the fishing industry, so the nautical theme also has a summer undertone. It's a lighthearted episode that represents a feeling of fun and partying, which is basically what spring break is all about.
