Freaky Friday (2003): Mother's Day
May 9, 2018
So I think there's a particular generation that will like this for Mother's Day, but it's honestly a great family film in general. It's a remake of the 1970's film, and it's better, in my opinion. It follows a mother and daughter who don't see eye to eye, Jaime Lee Curtis plays a straight-laced author, and Lindsay Lohan is her rebellious punk rock daughter. They switch bodies, and through experiencing each other's lives and taking on their responsibilities, they begin to be able to empathize with each other. Learning to sacrifice for your loved ones and put the needs of others before your own are the morals of this movie. It's cheesy and probably a little dated, but I love it and think it's perfect for a relaxing movie day with mom. Definitely check it out.
