Bob's Burgers: Mother's Day

"Mom, Lies, and Videotapes" Season 7, Episode 20

So this is a new holiday for Bob's Burgers to be observing. This is the first Mother's Day episode of the series, and it falls in a similar theme to the Gayle Tales episode, where the kids are telling imaginative stories. In this episode, Linda is sick and misses the school's Mother's Day recital. Bob is supposed to videotape it. but he runs out of battery and space on the tape. The kids decide to just tell Linda what happened, but they decide to embellish it to make it more exciting. Louise tells a tale about the Old West, Gene's story is themed around Greek myths, and Tina does a combination of Aliens and Freaky Friday. I found them to be really funny and creative and they are all about moms so it definitely works for the holiday theme. I'd say Bob's Burgers gets an A on its first Mother's Day episode.
