Hotel Transylvania (2012): Halloween

This movie is adorable. This movie is set at  hotel for monsters, run by Count Dracula. He builds the castle when his wife is presumably killed by humans. He makes the castle impenetrable to humans, or so he thinks. He's in the middle of a giant celebration for his over-protected daughter, Mavis' 118th birthday when a young human backpacker, Johnny, wanders into the hotel. Dracula disguises him as a monster and Johnny changes up the routine and quickly wins over the other monsters, including Mavis. Dracula worries about he potential repercussions of a human and vampire dating. However, he does slowly realize that John is a good person. This film is fun and full of classic monsters. The animation is amazingly fun and fast and the movie centers around some wonderfully classic family dynamics, as well as a sweet romance. I think it's an incredibly fun Halloween film that is great for people of all ages.
