"Christmas Party" Season 2, Episode 10

So I don't know how I made it to my third holiday season on this website without having reviewed a Christmas episode of The Office, but we're here now. I feel like this is one of the great early episodes, one of the ones that made people notice and appreciate the show. It really sums up the tone of the show early on. There's awkwardness, romantic tension, and lots of holiday fun. For the Christmas party, Michael decides to use his corporate bonus to get a video iPod for his secret Santa recipient (Ryan). He then spends most of the party sulking over the fact that no one got him something as nice as an iPod. He decides to do a white elephant party instead which results in people getting gifts that were meant for other people. I remember when watching the show as it aired, this episode was one of my favorites. It has the perfect amount of uncomfortable humor and Christmas cheer. This is a great episode to get you in the holiday spirit.
