Just Friends (2005): Christmas

This is one of those movies that logically I know isn't great, but I still love for some reason. This movie definitely has its problems, but I just think it's so so funny. It’s probably due to Ryan Reynolds and his dry sense of humor but this film has scenes that make my lose control laughing. This movie follows Chris, who was fat in high school and was always in love with his best friend Jaime. After having his feelings exposed and being humiliated, Chris leaves the past behind him. We see him begrudgingly coming home 10 years later, thin and successful. He decides to try to win Jaime over, but quickly realizes that his new tricks aren't working on her, and has to learn to balance his new and old self. This movie is full of really fun Christmas scenes and music, it's a great atmospheric holiday movie. It's also very quotable and funny if you can appreciate it for what it is. I recommend checking it out, even though I know it's probably not for everyone.
