To All the Boys I've Loved Before

A charming and sweet movie set in high school, this movie follows Lara Jean, a hopeless romantic student who is in love with her sister’s ex-boyfriend. Throughout her life, she has written love letters to her crushes and kept them in her closet to help her move past them. Her little sister mails them out and watches as the chaos unfolds. To avoid conflict with her sister’s ex, Lara Jean enters a fake relationship with one of her former crushes, Peter. Things begin to get more complicated as real feelings develop between the two. The cast really sells this story, Lana Condor is a relatable heroine, and she and Noah Centineo have great chemistry.

This movie is great for back to school because it mostly takes place in a high school; there are some school dance shots, gym class, and a class trip; what more could you ask for? How about new driver anxiety, first crushes, and mean girls? I’m long past high school, but this movie reminds me of the sweet moments from adolescence.
