The Breakfast Club (1985): Back to School

I mean, come on how could this NOT be on a list about back to school. What a time in cinema. Bunch of kids from different peer groups bonding over their problems while getting into shenanigans during detention, what more could you want? Now, this movie is set in a high school and features a bunch of high school stereotypes so it will definitely get you in the mood to go back to school. Now, this movie is definitely overrated, I think everyone sees it during middle and high school when they're all angsty and then develops a nostalgic affection for it but it is what it is. Full disclosure as a teen I was obsessed with this movie and even had socks with Judd Nelson's face on them. It brings back the excitement and emotions of the possibilities at the beginning of a new school year. And also makes me laugh about how deep I thought I was as a teen. I mean if you can't laugh at yourself what can you do?
