Never Been Kissed (1999): Back to School

Even adults can go back to school! This movie follows a 25 year old reporter who had a less than ideal high school experience, going back to school to get an undercover scoop on teenagers. However, she finds that she still isn't considered cool and must work her way to the top of the social ladder in order to get a story. Meanwhile, she begins to develop feelings for her teacher... not a big deal because she's 25, but he thinks she's 17 so it's definitely scandalous. This film is cute and funny. Obviously it has lots of romantic comedy tropes that are fairly cliche and unrealistic, but of the romantic comedies out there this is definitely one of the best. The film is set in a high school, so it's perfect for back to school season. It also has a prom scene which is a quintessential part of high school, so I think this film is perfect for getting students ready for another wonderful school year.
