The Blind Side (2009): Fall

The Blind Side (2009): Fall

September 10, 2018

Aside from Remember the Titans, this is one of my favorite football films to get me ready for autumn. This movie tells the real life story of NFL player Michael Oher, a boy who is growing up in an unsafe environment and is adopted by a well-off white family who encourage him to channel his emotions into football. This movie is heartwarming, a classic underdog story to put you in a good mood. Sandra Bullock's portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy, real life adopted mother of Michael Oher, is feisty and full of love. This film follows Michael through school and football season, which obviously gets most Americans in the mood for autumn. There's not an excessive amount of pretty foliage or anything, but the football season and overall tone of the film will get you ready for some cooler weather. I definitely recommend checking this movie out if football signals the start of autumn for you.
