Dan in Real Life (2007): Fall

I honestly think people are sleeping on this movie, it's better than it gets credit for. It's by no means a masterpiece but it's sweet and engaging. Steve Carell plays a widowed father of three girls who is so devoted to his family that he has let his social and romantic life fall to the side. When going up to New England for a family weekend he meets a woman who he instantly falls in love with. However, he is shocked to learn that this woman is his brother's new girlfriend and he must fight his feelings for her. This movie is set in New England in the fall and has some really gorgeous scenic shots. Plus the house the family lives in is so cozy it makes you want to curl up by a fire with some apple cider. Definitely check this one out if you want a charming dramedy with some brisk atmosphere.
