Family Guy: Thanksgiving
November 1, 2016
"Thanksgiving" Season 10, Episode 6
The first Family Guy thanksgiving episode only took 10 seasons. I think this one is okay, I mean it's an interesting plot at least, surrounded by a nice autumnal backdrop. And honestly isn't that what most Thanksgivings are? A bunch of family tension and political disagreements with pretty leaves outside? Anyway, as far as the Macfarlane shows Thanksgiving episodes go this is definitely one of the better ones. In it, Bonnie and Joe's presumed dead son Kevin returns from the Iraq war, but has some surprising news. This episode definitely has some out of touch jokes but I think that can definitely occur when a show that takes risks and satire to the edge. It's very dated, but thanksgiving-y none the less.
