“Gobble, Gobble, Dick, Dick” Season 2, Episode 10

The Solomons are celebrating their first Thanksgiving on Earth and they are slightly confused by the holiday. At first they think it’s the apocalypse, especially considering the food rush and packed airports. But once Mary and Mrs Dubcek start helping them, they are determined to celebrate a nice human Thanksgiving. Sally is tasked with making dinner, and she puts in all her effort. Meanwhile Harry is slowly seduced by Mrs Dubcek’s daughter, Vicky. Tommy, frustrated by the whole situation, leaves and goes to play pool with strangers who remind him the importance of being thankful for your family. The episode is very funny; it’s a classic fish-out-of-water situation. It has a lot of holiday classics: cooking dinner and fighting with family. I would definitely recommend checking out this episode if you’re in the mood for a classic 90’s thanksgiving episode. It’s fun, it’s light, and you don’t need much prior knowledge of the show to enjoy it.
