Stage Fright (2014): Summer
May 15, 2016
It's an original musical slasher starring Meat Loaf. I don't think I really need to continue to sell this, but I will. This movie takes place at a musical theater summer camp. 10 years earlier Kylie Swanson, a talented singer, was murdered after a performance. Her daughter now works at the summer camp and dreams of being a diva just like her mother. However, when the camp puts on her mother's musical campers start dying, and the killer must be stopped before they run out of understudies. It's a little cheesy, the songs aren't anything life-changing, but the heavy metal murderer is hilariously amazing and it's a clever concept. The gory parts are very gory, which can be a good or bad thing depending on who you are.
