American Dad: Summer

"Camp Refoogee" Season 2, Episode 1
In this episode, Stan is desperate to send Steve to summer camp, but they are all full. He accidentally enrolls him in an African refugee camp. When Stan goes to retrieve him, he continues to treat it like a normal summer, leading the refugees in organized summer camp activities and proceeds to get into trouble with the "rival camp" who are actually rebels. I mean.. this episode is about as offensive as it sounds, Seth Macfarlane's humor isn't for everyone and if we're being honest, I could go into a critique on why his approach to social commentary doesn't always work. However, I do find American Dad to be less politically charged than Family Guy. So if this humor isn't for you, that's fine, but I find this episode to be an entertaining parody of the summer camp trope.
