"Comparative Religion" Season 1, Episode 12

Shirley plans a Christmas party for the group and becomes uncomfortable when she discovers they aren't all Christian like she is. There are some awkward moments of her attempting to convert or push her religion on the rest of the group. Eventually though she realizes her friends deserve her respect. She works hard to create an inclusive environment for her party even though it is a challenge for her. Jeff is dealing with learning how to handle a bully on campus. When a guy picks on Abed for taking the last of the best Christmas cookies, Jeff decides he needs to learn how to fight to stand up for him. This episode is set during the Christmas season and has tons of festive decorations. It definitely evokes the spirit of the season (even as I write this in July). It also contains one of my favorite lines in all of television: “Where’s your christmas spirit?” “It’s December 10th”.
